Wednesday, March 19th (2)- Zero: Jeremiah Wright

I couldn't let this one go another day. I have been somewhat speechless about Senator Obama's pastor, it's one of those things where you think no one can really be that stupid, so it must be a joke...

The now retired, but still influential Pastor Jeremiah Wright has made a career of peppering his sermons with some very inflammatory and controversial statements.

Some of these sermons are made available by the Trinity Church on DVD, just in case you’re sitting at home with an urge to listen to some ranting, disguised as sermonizing, about why America sucks.

The controversy for Senator Obama is that he’s been a member of the church for over 20 years. He was married by Pastor Wright, his kids were baptized by him, he has referred to the pastor as his mentor and has said in the past that he didn’t make any big political moves without consulting first with Pastor Wright.

Sounds like they’ve been pretty close, and in fact the Senator did say in a speech Tuesday that the pastor is like a member of his family. At the same time, in an effort to suspend disbelief, Senator Obama is claiming ignorance over some of the pastor’s past incendiary statements.

Now, I know people sometimes sleep through the occasional sermon, waking up just as the hymn starts, with absolutely no recollection about what was said during the past twenty minutes. Shoot, I've nodded off a couple of times myself..

But then again, I’ve never attended the same church for 20 years and have never considered a pastor as my professional mentor. And, to be fair, none of my past preachers have stated that AIDS was invented by the U.S. Government, that the U.S. was to blame for 9/11, that Israel is a dirty word or that America essentially deserves all the ills visited upon it because it is a racist, arrogant country.

The most inflammatory statement I’ve ever heard while sitting in church is that the band is getting too contemporary or that too many folks have signed up to bring Jell-O salad to the fellowship lunch and we could use some volunteers to bring hot covered dishes.

So, the Obama campaign now has its knickers in a knot because people, meaning the newly aggressive media or people who haven’t drunk the Change elixir, have dared to point out that the senator’s association with the fiery pastor might need some context.

It seems unlikely at best that Senator Obama was unaware of Pastor Wright’s positions on various issues and his past statements that many in America might find offensive, questionable, or hateful. Yet that is the tact taken by the senator and his campaign.

You want change we can believe in?

Maybe Senator Obama and his campaign ought to change the way they’re explaining the relationship with the pastor.

The issue here isn’t race, except to the degree that the Obama campaign tweeks it that way. The issue here is the friendship and mentoring relationship between the senator and Pastor Wright, given the pastor’s anti-American attitudes and rants.

The senator can’t set himself up as the Great Unifier and Changer of all things divisive, and then act surprised or disappointed when people ask how that image coexists with his close 20 plus year relationship with the hateful, divisive Pastor Wright.

Any candidate, regardless of race, gender or political leanings, would undergo the same treatment if they were in a similar situation. No, I take that back. It would be much, much worse. Close your eyes for a minute and imagine a white candidate sitting in a white church while the pastor asked God to damn America because of the doings of the black race.... Hear the door slam shut?? That would be the white candidates entire future.

Wednesday, March 19th - Hero: SCOTUS

Huh? I know, I know. SCOTUS is the Supreme Court of the United States. They are hero's today for upholding the 2nd Amendment.

The case was brought by a Security Guard in Washington DC. He is fighting for his right to possess a handgun. You see, in the District of Columbia it is illegal for ANYONE to possess/own a handgun. The courts there passed the law many moons ago in order to fight the high-crime rate. Yes, I am fighting to keep a straight face right now, too! These idiots thought that by making it illegal for law-abiding citizens to protect themselves with guns it would actually lower the crime rate.

Anyone want to guess what happened? The crime rate has nearly DOUBLED since then, and DC has one of the highest MURDER rates in the US of A.

So, finally, someone had the gumption to bring a case to court and force the Supreme Court to interpret the 2nd Amendment, which says in part:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"

Luckily for 'the people' our current Chief Justice, John Roberts, sees the absurdity of stripping 'the people' of their right to self-defense.

Lord knows, there are lots of liberal judges and lawyers out there ready to sue the crap out of us when we do defend ourselves. But I, for one, don't care. I'd much rather take on a stupid lawsuit than end up shot, raped, stabbed, or dead because I couldn't shoot the stupid losers that broke into MY HOME...

Anyway, score one for 'the People' and hooray for the SCOTUS!

Tuesday, Mar 18th - Zero: American Economy

This is starting to get a little scary folks.

In usual fashion, the mainstream media has totally downplayed the truth about what's happening to our economy. But, if you dig around a little bit you can find the real picture, and it ain't pretty, folks.

Our dollar is on life support, the Fed keeps slashing interest rates trying to force us to spend, the government is spending like a drunken sailor, and then turning around and punishing the very people who pay for it all by slashing our tax cuts.

Here's an article that should interest everyone (from a UK paper, they don't mind telling the truth about us):

Wall Street fears for next Great Depression

By Margareta Pagano, Business EditorSunday, 16 March 2008

Wall Street is bracing itself for another week of roller-coaster trading after more than $300bn (£150bn) was wiped off the US equity markets on Friday following the emergency funding package put together by the Federal Reserve and JPMorgan Chase to rescue Bear Stearns.
One UK economist warned that the world is now close to a 1930s-like Great Depression, while New York traders said they had never experienced such fear. The Fed's emergency funding procedure was first used in the Depression and has rarely been used since.

A Goldman Sachs trader in New York said: "Everyone is in a total state of shock, aghast at what is happening. No one wants to talk, let alone deal; we're just standing by waiting. Everyone is nervous about what is going to emerge when trading starts tomorrow."

In the UK, Michael Taylor, a senior market strategist at Lombard, the economics consultancy, said on Friday night: "We have all been talking about a 1970s-style crisis but as each day goes by this looks more like the 1930s. No one has any clue as to where this is going to end; it's a self-feeding disaster."

Mr Taylor added that the problems unravelling at Bear Stearns are just the beginning: "There will be more banks and hedge funds heading for collapse."

One of the problems facing the markets is that, despite the Fed's move last week to feed them another $200bn, the banks are still not lending to each other.

"This crisis is one of faith. We are going to see even more problems in the hedge funds as they face margin calls," said Mark O'Sullivan, director of dealing at Currencies Direct in London. "What we are waiting for now is for the Fed to cut interest rates again this week. But that's already been discounted by the market and is unlikely to help restore confidence."

Mr O'Sullivan added that the dollar's free-fall is set to continue and may need cuts in European interest rates to trim the euro's recent strength against the dollar. "But the ECB doesn't like cutting rates," he said.

The Fed's plan will give 28 days of secured funding to Bear Stearns, which saw its value slashed over the week by more than a half to $3.7bn. JP Morgan will provide the funding, but the Fed will bear the risk if the loan is not repaid. Fed chairman, Ben Bernanke, who pumped $200bn of loans to cash-strapped institutions last week, said more would be available to help others in distress."

I really, really hate to be a doomsdayer, and I don't really think we will be as bad off as during the Great Depression. The main reason for that, though, is because America has become very globalized and there are too many other countries that will try to bail us out. However, to do that, we will be looking at our currency going away and a) being replaced by the Euro, or b) a new North American Union forming and our own version of the Euro coming into play. Either way, it's not good for our country. We won't be able to keep our unique identity as a country of freedoms (which are being siphoned off slowly anyway). Just think what becomes of us if we are joined with Mexico and Canada. Europe has already done it. How far behind can the rest of the world be? There are 10 geographical unions that make sense from an economic and cultural standpoint. We know it is going to happen, read Revelations.

Okay, back to our current situation. We are heading into a recession and I have no confidence in our current House and Senate to fix the situation. NONE.

So, in the meantime, start to buy an extra can or two of veggies and tuna during your weekly grocery visits. Some powdered milk and bottled water. Ammunition if you have a gun.

No, not because I think 'the end is near' and Red Dawn is coming... Because if the economy gets much worse before it gets better, you may see rationing happening. In fact, already there are gas stations here in NWA that will only sell $49 in gas per purchase. You may see utilities prices go up, or the infamous 'rolling blackouts'. Banks could be in trouble and business bankruptcies will definitely be a reality.

Just be smart and keep your eyes open. Don't be lulled by the soft songs of the Media, fooled into thinking everything is all right.

Peace, Love, and GOD,
Tracy

Friday, Mar 14th: Zero: The House and the Senate

Woke up to the news this morning that our Representatives in Washington have, in a big way, stuck it to us - again!

A new budget plan has passed both of these dens of theives, and the only hope is that it will be veto'd by the Prez.

Why is this plan bad? Well, so glad you asked! This $3 Trillion budget is going to put our ledger back in the black by letting Bush's tax cuts expire in 2010. All of them. The caveat is that the Senate proposed a version that will allow what they call the poor and 'working-class' families keep their cuts, but not anyone else.

I have no problem with the working poor being rewarded. And 'in theory' the working class family rewards should be a great thing.

But let's get real, people. The uber-rich in this country are not going to EVER pay as much in taxes as Washington claims they want them to. These are people who can afford to send money over seas and have 'tax shelter's' and high-priced tax lawyers to help them keep their money.
Even with all of that though, the top 1% income earners in this country pay nearly 50% of our countries tax revenues.

So, who is going to bear the brunt of the end of the tax cuts? Middle-class families. Well, let me use the term that Congress places on middle-class families: the Rich...
The people that will bear the brunt of this tax-cut expiring are singles that make over $75k and married couples that make over $120k. Sound rich to you? Let me speak from experience here, my husband and I are in that last category. Yes, we have a nice house, but not a McMansion. My husband drives a good truck, but I drive an old, used Honda. We live a nice life, but we still have to budget every penny to make sure we have savings.

Taking the tax cuts away will hurt, badly. My check is already 30% gone by the time I get it. When is it going to be enough? When are we going to stand up and say we're done? Will it be when we have a 55% tax like Britian, or will it be when we get up to 72% like the Netherlands?

I really don't mind paying taxes when they go to what they should. Schools, roads, policing, and such. What I hate is when I am paying this much in taxes and it is going to crazy research projects at some Senator's alma mater, or building rest stops that are nicer than my home, or building lavish new public buildings. You know what I'm talking about - 'earmarks' or 'pork-barrel' spending. That makes me crazy!

You want to get really pissed? Read this: http://budget.house.gov/.

So, while we get our tax cuts taken away, they will be able to continue sending our money to any and every kind of pet project they want!!

GGGRRRRRRR....

Anyone else want to move to Costa Rica with me?

Thursday, March 6th - Zero(s): Mr. and Mrs. Obama

These two are unbelievable. It's like they have been living in this make-believe world where they think everyone else is so stupid we'll believe anything they say!!

Barak tells huge, whopping lies and his stuck-up, snotty, bigoted wife can't seem to stop putting down America and all the people who live here.

Meanwhile, Oprah has gone off the deep end by espousing some crazy book that claims there is no sin, no evil, and that there are many gods, and that we are all our own god. Oprah Winfrey is a false prophet. I will get more into this subject in the near future. In the meantime, don't be sucked in by this woman, don't be deceived by her!

So.. A couple of examples of the Obama's disregard for the American people. I hope it makes you as angry as it does me.

Here's a quote from an interview the New Yorker did with Michelle Obama:

Obama begins with a broad assessment of life in America in 2008, and life is not good: we’re a divided country, we’re a country that is “just downright mean,” we are “guided by fear,” we’re a nation of cynics, sloths, and complacents. “We have become a nation of struggling folks who are barely making it every day,” she said, as heads bobbed in the pews. “Folks are just jammed up, and it’s gotten worse over my lifetime. And, doggone it, I’m young. Forty-four!”

From these bleak generalities, Obama moves into specific complaints. Used to be, she will say, that you could count on a decent education in the neighborhood. But now there are all these charter schools and magnet schools that you have to “finagle” to get into. (Obama herself attended a magnet school, but never mind.) Health care is out of reach (“Let me tell you, don’t get sick in America”), pensions are disappearing, college is too expensive, and even if you can figure out a way to go to college you won’t be able to recoup the cost of the degree in many of the professions for which you needed it in the first place. “You’re looking at a young couple that’s just a few years out of debt,” Obama said.

This is a woman who wants to be the First Lady of this country. Does this piss ya'll off as bad as me? She says we are a country of SLOTHS. She says 'Don't get sick in America'. Is she freaking kidding????? Where would she have you get sick? We have the best doctors in the world. We have hospitals that don't turn anyone away. We have freakin WAL-MART giving prescriptions for 4 dollars!!!!!

And don't get me started on being a poor young couple just out of debt. The Obama's live in a Mansion in Chicago that Tony Rezko sold to them for a song. She went to Yale and he went to Harvard. She hasn't the foggiest idea of what it's like to be struggling. And she sits there and tells The New Yorker that us 'little people', us AMERICANS are mean-spirited, slothly, complacent cynics. GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....

Let's move on to her husband, shall we? Mr. Hope and Change who's never accomplished a single thing during his Senate reign. You know all those great, inspiring, faint-inducing speeches he gives? Want to know how much of it is lies? Read this from an article by Paul R. Hollach. This is Obama speaking:

"...something happened back here in Selma, Alabama. Something happened in Birmingham that sent out what Bobby Kennedy called, "ripples of hope all around the world." Something happened when a bunch of women decided they were going to walk instead of ride the bus after a long day of doing somebody else's laundry, looking after somebody else's children.

"When (black) men who had PhD's decided 'that's enough' and 'we're going to stand up for our dignity,' that sent a shout across oceans so that my grandfather began to imagine something different for his son. His son, who grew up herding goats in a small village in Africa could suddenly set his sights a little higher and believe that maybe a black man in this world had a chance.

"So the Kennedy's decided we're going to do an airlift. We're going to go to Africa and start bringing young Africans over to this country and give them scholarships to study so they can learn what a wonderful country America is.

"This young man named Barack Obama got one of those tickets and came over to this country. He met this woman whose great great-great-great- grandfather had owned slaves; but she had a good idea there was some craziness going on because they looked at each other and they decided that we know that, (in) the world as it has been, it might not be possible for us to get together and have a child. There was something stirring acros s the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. Was born. So don't tell me I don't have a claim on Selma, Alabama. Don't tell me I'm not coming home to Selma, Alabama."

Now, read what happens to this speech when just a tiny bit of research is done:

Obama told his audience that, because some folks had the courage to "march across a bridge" in Selma, Alabama, his mother, a white woman from Kansas, and his father, a black Muslim from Africa, took heart. It gave them the courage to get married and have a child.

The problem with that characterization is that Barrack Obama, Jr., was born on August 4, 1961, while the first of three marches across that bridge in Selma didn't occur until March 7, 1965, at least five years after Obama's parents met.

Obama went on to tell his audience that the Kennedys, Jack and Bobby, decided to do an airlift. They would bring some young Africans over so that they could be educated and learn all about America. His grandfather heard that call and sent his son, Barrack Obama, Sr., to America. The problem with that scenario is that, having been born in August 1961, the future senator was not conceived until sometime in November 1960. So if this African grandfather heard words that ''sent a shout across oceans,'' inspiring him to send his goat-herder son to America, it was not a Democrat Jack Kennedy he heard, nor his brother Bobby, it was a Republican President, Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Obama's speech is reminiscent of Al Gore's claim of having invented the Int ernet, Hillary Clinton's claim of having been named after the first man to climb Mt. Everest, even though she was born five years and seven months before Sir Edmund climbed the mountain, and John Kerry's imaginary trip to Cambodia.

Do you know why all this should tick you off?? These people think YOU are STOOOOPID enough to believe them. You should be insulted that these charlatains think they can OUTRIGHT LIE to you and get away with it.

Sheesh.

Wednesday, Mar 5th - Hero: Olivier Melnick

Olivier is a French man from Southern California. Doesn't sound like someone I would consider a Hero, right?

Well, Olivier is a Completed Jew. By that I mean he is Jewish and he believes that Jesus Christ was the Messiah prophecied in the Old Testament. He came and spoke at our church last week and conducted a seminar at another church last Sunday. I learned so much and am currently reading his book.

The study was aimed at how to give Testimony to Jewish people about Christ, but he talked a lot about the history of the Jewish people. I am truly amazed at the ability of this group of people to persevere so much tragedy and adversity and bigotry.

I would challenge each of you to think about any stereotypes you have about Jewish people and think of this: The Jewish people were driven out of their country by Alexander the Great and since then have seen there religion become a crime punishable by death during the time of Constantine. Their history was completely wiped out of any recognized Historical records. During the Council of Nicea, the Old Testament was 'sanitized' to remove some of the greatest historical accounts of the Jewish people. Over the last century, country after country began pushing them out and forcing them into areas called "Ghettos" and not allowed to mix in with the rest of society. And of course, the Holocaust cost over 6 million people their lives. Their only crime? Being born Jewish. God's Chosen People.

Have you ever wondered where the 'Jews love money' stereotype comes from? Why so many Jews are doctors, lawyers, bankers, authors, artists? Think about it. Jews were constantly being forced out of their homes and countries. To make a living, they had to start making their 'trade' something they could pack up and take with them. Intellectual trade was the easiest to do that with. Plus, if they were in these types of trades, there was a good chance that they would be found useful by the non-jewish population.

This can go on and on, but I would challenge everyone to stop and think about it for a minute. What is the big 'crime' that the Jews were held responsible for? Killing Christ? Give me a break. Nobody killed Jesus Christ. He gave His life WILLINGLY. Salvation does not work any other way. Besides, Jesus did not die for Jewish sins... He died for ALL people's sins. You know what was on the end of those Cat-O-Nine tails that stripped the skin from His back? My sins, your sins. The hand that hammered in those nails? My sins, your sins.

Where would we be if He hadn't died on that cross? Even more important, where would we be if He hadn't risen from that grave (provided by a Jewish man, by the way).

Think about that the next time you start to make a joke about Jews, or use the term in a derogatory way. I know I will.

Peace, Love, and GOD,
Tracy
