Monday Dec 10th - Zero: Oprah Winfrey

I can feel the hate mail coming already!

Now, trust me on this. I am an Oprah fan myself. I love her show. Really. In fact, I think her interview of Bill O'Reilly was the best I've ever seen.

However~ I absolutely detest when a celebrity uses their popularity to further a political agenda. Yes, I know she has pointed out that it is her right as a citizen. Well, that's bullshit. The average citizen doesn't have the ability to draw thousands of people to speeches. The average citizen doesn't get arenas 'donated' as places to give the speeches. The average citizen can't jet around the country to attend said speeches. There are thousands, maybe millions, of women around this country that are practically hypnotized by Oprah. They would shave their heads if she told them to, so you know that a good percentage will vote the way she tells them to! Will they research the issues? Will they form their own opinions as to whether the policies are right for them and America? Hell No!!!!! That's why this pisses me off so much..

All I ask is that if you are thinking of voting for a candidate, spend just 1 hour on their website making sure you know where they stand on the issues.

For instance:

Did you know that if elected, Barak Hussein Obama has plans to force ALL employers to allow their employees join a union? What, are we in the freaking 1930's? Unions? Seriously? Can you spell o-r-g-a-n-i-z-e-d c-r-i-m-e? Anyone who thinks they still need a labor union doesn't understand our legal system. There are more laws in effect to protect the worker than there are to protect our children... Chew on that for awhile..
All unions do is collect money from people that can't really afford it, and then tell them to strike (without pay) when they say to.

Did you know that Barak Hussein Obama is for forcing banks to loan money to Minority owned small business, at good interest rates, regardless of credit history? Can you say increased rates for the business owners who have followed the rules??

Did you know that Barak Hussein Obama is planning to increase the amount of Social Security Tax on people who make more than $95k per year, but not allow them to draw a larger percentage when they retire? May not seem like much to some people, but this is one small step into the world of Socialism. Do you want to live in the United Socialist States of America?

I'm definitely no fan of Hillary, but B. Hussein Obama scares the living shit out of me.

(By the way - there is virtually NO difference in policy between these two - check out for yourself and let me know if you would be able to tell their websites apart if you took their names off...)

Just to be bi-partisan, I will say there's some things everyone should know about some of the Republican candidates:

Mike Huckabee - coming on strong and has some great ideas. My favorite is his plan to eliminate the IRS. No Federal Income Tax (which is an illegal tax anyway - was set up to be voluntary), death tax, estate tax, capital gains tax, etc... There is a question on his commentment to stopping illegal immigration. As governor he supported a few initiatives that were easy on employers. However, on his website (www.mikehuckabee.com) he has laid out a pretty tough stance on it. Look it up and decide for yourself.

Rudy Guiliani - he's more liberal than Hillary. It's true - check his record. Tough on crime, true, and fiscally conservative, but I don't think he would move the needle on anything enough to be worth it.

Mitt Romney - he's a little scary. I think he has good ideas, and is definitely a conservative, but I have to wonder at his affectiveness. He was the governor of the most liberal state in the US which passed some crazy laws while he was in charge. Maybe he's afraid of too much confrontation? I don't know. I do know that we need a president that is not a pushover.

Ron Paul - he's a libertarians dream come true. I would give anything if this man could become president, but it's a pipe dream. Maybe some day...

Again ~ I would challenge everyone to check out all the candidates websites for yourself - don't take my word for it.

Peace, Love, and GOD,
Tracy
