I am sure everyone has sad feelings about the death of Heath Ledger. What a waste. It's a weird feeling when someone like this dies. You get to expect certain celebs to end up like this, but Heath Ledger wasn't necessarily one of them. He was a really talented actor.
There is a really horrible thing that happens when something like this happens. That is the media frenzy that happens. I am in Kansas City this week and when I got back to my hotel room this afternoon all the news channels were already dissecting this guys life and death. This was about 4pm CST. His body was discovered barely an hour before that!
So, these supposed legitimate news outlets are trotting out 'experts' to speculate on his death. CNN was declaring that he had committed suicide. They were castigating the guy because he 'had so much to live for' and 'how could he do this to his daughter'. Sickening.
Now, it's coming out that he was suffering from pnuemonia and that the OTC sleeping pills that could have been a contributing factor. Plus, the NYPD spokesman says there were NOT pills scattered about the room, they just found some on his nightstand.
I just find it extremely sad that not only is his family dealing with this loss, but they have to hear these people who never met their son/brother/father speculating on what they think happened.
Well, all I can say is I hope like heck the media will leave his kid alone.
